Outlook Express

 

The following information details where to find your personal data (Email, address book, calendar information, favorites, etc.) after you have used TrueSwitch to switch to Outlook Express. Please note that it can take up to 24 hours before all the personal data from your old account is copied to your new Outlook Express account.

 

Please also note that the following information assumes that you have Outlook Express software installed on your PC that you are using to access your Outlook Express account, and you must have logged into your new Outlook Express account.

Emails From TrueSwitch

 

Emails sent to you from TrueSwitch confirming your TrueSwitch internet account switching request and status updates will be in your “Inbox” in Outlook Express. This can be accessed by launching “Outlook Express” from the “Start” menu and then clicking on “Inbox”.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Stored Emails

If you selected “Copy Stored Emails” (which is enabled by default in the “Express Switching” option), All your saved mails (with all your sub-folders) from your old account to your Outlook Express account will be in a folder which will have your old account user id.  For example, if you are switching from Janedoe@aol.com to Outlook Express, the folder name will be janedoe@aol.com.

 

All sub-folders with their respective mails in them will also migrate.

 

 

 

Forwarded Emails

 

If you selected “Email Forwarding” (which is enabled by default in the “Express Switching” option, will be in your “Inbox” in Outlook Express. This can be accessed by launching “Outlook Express” from the “Start” menu and then clicking on “Inbox”.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Address Book (Contacts)

 

If you selected “Copy Address Book” (which is enabled by default in the “Express Switching” option), your address book with all your contacts and information (postal address, phone/fax/work numbers, personal information etc ) will be in your Outlook Express address book which can be accessed by clicking on the “Address Book” icon.

 

 

 

 

Favorites:

 

Your migrated favorites/bookmarks (with any sub-folders you might have created) will be migrated as a folder in Internet Explorer.
