No, you need an address book in your old email account for this feature to work.  However, here’s a quick and easy way to populate your new AOL address book -- send an email to all your friends and family from your new AOL email account, and those email addresses will be automatically added to your AOL address book.

The automated AOL Easy Transfer can only automatically send notification to everyone in your contact list.  If you want to send your new email address to just a few contacts, just log-in to your AOL email account and send them an email.
